Cake Decorator/Baker
Department: Kitchen
Status: Part-time
Position Summary: Bakes, cuts, fills and ices cakes. Decorates and writes messages on cakes using pastry tools. Packages cakes for special order and back stock. Assists with other Bakery duties as necessary. Follows proper Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards. Provides prompt and courteous customer service. Will work closely with our Pastry Chef to make our daily pastries, muffins, cookies, and cakes.

Essential Functions of the job:
- Basic knowledge of baking
- Have a neat and clean uniform at all times
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proper sanitation of station and all coolers, including walk in and reach ins
- Follow direction of senior kitchen management, executive chef, chef de cuisine, pastry chef

Quality Restaurant and Bar Server

Position Summary:
The Cliffs Resort is looking to hire experienced Servers for our high volume lounge and restaurant. The Restaurant and Bar Servers are responsible for seeing to every guest’s experience in the Marisol Restaurant and Bar, going beyond satisfaction, and ensuring a complete fine dining experience.

Essential Functions of the job:
- To be the person directly responsible for delivery of service to guests after seating
- To warmly welcome guests with-in 1-2 minutes after seating
- To take, place, deliver and serve food and beverage orders
- To ensure quality of ingredients, preparation, presentation, and correct temperature of food served to guests
- To ensure time standards are met
- To employ appropriate selling skills in suggestions of food and beverage
- To demonstrate an attitude of friendly hospitality in every aspect of service

Pool and Public Attendant
We are looking for a detail-oriented person who is well organized, professional, friendly, and a team player for our Pool Attendant openings. Our pool is one of the premier assets of our hotel. It is elevated with an ocean view. The pool is heated and is next to a Jacuzzi and fire pit. There is a fountain that falls around the pool. There is pool service and activities almost everyday.

Some Duties:
- Greet and seat all guests
- Deliver a high level of service by providing towels, magazines, food and drinks, etc.
- Maintain aesthetics of the pool
- Make sure pool area is neat, clean, and alerting the maintenance department of safety hazards.
- Help assist and direct food servers
- Works cooperatively with other in a team effort.
- Knows and implements standards of service for casual dining consistently.
- Knows and enforces pool rules.
- Communicates pleasantly and courteously with guests, management, and co-workers.
- Knows layout of pool, restaurant and all equipment and supplies.

Front Desk Supervisor
Department: Rooms Division
Reports to: Front Desk Manager

Position Summary:
The Front Desk Supervisor oversees the general day-to-day operations of the Front Office. They work with the Rooms, Sales, and Food and Beverage management in coordinating daily activities, meetings, and group activities. They will work as a front desk agent, taking an active leadership role in terms of resolving guest issues and directing the staff for Front Desk, Reservations, and Bellstand as needed.

Hours:
Must be flexible and available for work from 7am to 11pm as necessary

Essential Functions of the Job:
- Maintain high standards through daily assignments and assist agents in doing the same
- Set standard for the staff - upholding the requirements of AAA and Mobil as well as standards communicated by executive management
- Demonstrate working knowledge of safety and fire procedures and assist in execution of emergency and security protocol
- Supervise the care of equipment; minimizing waste, breakage and misuse
- Advise Director of Guest Services as supplies run low
- Act as Hotel Manager when necessary
- Represent the hotel and executive management to employees, guests, visitors, and vendors
- Coordinate VIP recognition and room assignments
- Take immediate corrective action when guests’ needs are not met
- Create a nightly report summarizing important occurrences
- Communicate effectively and immediately any situations requiring management assistance.
- Coordinate the training of new front office personnel and assist with training of newly implemented procedures

Restaurant Supervisor
Department: Food & Beverage
Status: Full-time
Position Summary:
To ensure all guests absolute happiness with the restaurant, bar, in room dining, and their stay at the resort where possible.  To be sure that the servers have everything they need to do their job well, and have a work environment that everyone feels comfortable in.

Essential Functions of the job:
- Create and maintain relationships with local clientele
- Be a visible presence in the Dining Room, lounge, and hotel, and accessible for any guest at any time
- Ensure all guests absolute satisfaction with every facet of the resort that I can
- Coach staff on higher standards of service
- Test and coach staff on knowledge of menu, wine, resort, and our mission, values and basics.
- Coach staff on appearance and adherence to uniform policies
- Conduct nightly line-up for staff education
- Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of Dining Room, lounge, and In room dining
- Supervise guests services and sales department amenity request

Bellman/Valet
Department: Valet
Status: Part-time, 1-4 shifts a week
Duties:
- Safely park guest’s vehicles in valet lot
- Loads and unloads luggage carts and vehicles as needed.
- Escort guests to room, provide room tour and additional assistance as needed.
- Provide recommendations for local dining and activities to guests.
- Drive company vehicles throughout San Luis Obispo County, including daily airport picks ups.
- Ascertain and use guests name as frequently as possible and introduce the guest by name to front office staff.
- Makes manager aware of any guest’s comments or complaints.
- Performs any other job related task as directed by management.

Front Desk Agent

Job Description: The Guest Service Agent is responsible for checking in and checking out of all hotel guests. This person must have good organization and communication skills as well as superior guest service abilities. This is a fast paced position that will involve cash handling, answering telephones, providing local information to guests, etc. The position we are looking for is part time or full time. Hotel or customer service experience preferred.

Duties:
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
• Varied shifts; must be flexible.
• Performs front desk duties such as check-ins/check-outs, making reservations, answering phones and assisting guests.

Maintenance Worker
Job Description:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for making repairs on hotel and restaurant equipment as requested by the Chief Engineer.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Electrical projects and repairs.
- Daily cleaning of the pool and Spa and general maintenance issues.
- Trash pick up.
- Minor guest room repair.
- Inspect hotel grounds daily for cleanliness issues.
- Plumbing projects and repairs.
- Painting as requested by Chief Engineer.
- Carpet and vinyl repair.
- HVAC and refrigeration repairs.
- Service and maintain laundry and kitchen equipment.
- Make repairs to hotel equipment as requested by Chief Engineer.

We are seeking a PART-TIME MASSAGE PROVIDER/ ESTHETICIAN who is responsible and reliable with excellent guest relation skills for a service oriented environment.

Job Description:
Licensed Esthetician/Massage Provider. Handles facial and massage treatments for guests/visitors; will analyze, consult and perform facials in a professional and comfortable setting. They will be responsible for directing all efforts toward member satisfaction. Excellent guest relation skills. Previous experience required. Proven references.

Duties:
Perform esthetic and massage services to spa guests.

Requirements:
Must be a California Licensed Esthetician and Massage Practitioner; have proven experience and be flexible with work schedule.

• Body Treatment experience is beneficial but not a requirement
