Regional Sales Manager
Job Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager successfully manages the group sales effort in their designated markets for the Boutique Hotel Collection in San Luis Obispo county, which includes The Cliffs Resort, Sycamore Mineral Springs Resort, Sea Venture Resort and The Apple Farm. This position requires developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, implementation of sales strategies so as to achieve all goals and maximize profits for the hotels while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Reports to:
Vice President of Sales

Job Requirements:
- Previous sales experience
- Hotel/Resort experience highly desirable
- Four-year College degree
- Computer knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook; previous experience with Autoclerk and ACT! Preferred
- Knowledge of travel industry, current market trends and economic factors
- Interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment and with the public
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding
- Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision
- Ability to accurately compute and manipulate mathematical calculations

Responsibilities include:
- Meets with and maintains rapport with individuals and contacts in order to produce groups business, to include Room Sales, F & B Sales and Catering/Banquet Sales
- Maintains liaison with other department managers to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients
- Answers phones and qualifies leads
- Responds to all emails and voice-mails
- Follow-up on RFP’s
- Yield potential group business with VP of Sales for rates and availability
- Generates and closes all client files; generates and distributes client “Thank you” letter and group conference critique
- Utilizes old group files and GRC to locate previous groups with potential rebooking opportunity
- Creates proposals and contracts for group business
- Initiates scheduling and conducts pre-conference meetings for all group clients
- Conducts site tours for scheduled and non-scheduled prospects
- Meets and greets all group contacts upon arrival
- Prepares and gets approval on amenity request for all VIP clients
- Utilizes ACT to log and track all proposed, tentative and closed group business as well as client correspondence and future follow-up
- Attends appropriate meetings and events and maintains good rapport with area VCB’s, Chambers of Commerce and other appropriate professional industry-related organizations
- Attends trade shows in an attempt to generate new group business contacts and follows-up with contacts and leads that are generated
- Ensures sales activities meet or exceed individual, team, revenue and other applicable goals outlined by VP of Sales
- Assists with development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies which apply to designated market segment
- Maintains schedule for new-business solicitation calls, which are currently a minimum of three times per week, 1-hour each
- Attend Sales and Catering Department meetings
- Prepares weekly, monthly and quarterly reports
- Maintains flexible availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary

Compensation:
- Annual salary plus quarterly bonus is commensurate with experience and is based on a 40-hour minimum work week with overtime-exempt status

Shift Supervisor
Status: Non-Exempt
Department: Rooms Division
Reports to: Guest Services Manager

Position Summary:
The Shift Supervisor oversees the general day-to-day operations of the Front Office. They work with the Rooms, Sales, and Food and Beverage management in coordinating daily activities, meetings, and group activities. They will work as a front desk agent, taking an active leadership role in terms of resolving guest issues and directing the staff for Front Desk, Reservations, and Bellstand as needed.

Hours:
- Must be flexible and available for work between the hours of 6am and 1am as necessary

Essential Functions of the Job:
- Maintain high standards through daily assignments and assist agents in doing the same
- Set standard for the staff - upholding the requirements of AAA and Mobil as well as standards communicated by executive management
- Demonstrate working knowledge of safety and fire procedures and assist in execution of emergency and security protocol
- Supervise the care of equipment; minimizing waste, breakage and misuse
- Advise Director of Guest Services as supplies run low
- Act as Hotel Manager when necessary
- Represent the hotel and executive management to employees, guests, visitors, and vendors
- Coordinate VIP recognition and room assignments
- Take immediate corrective action when guests’ needs are not met
- Create a nightly report summarizing important occurrences
- Communicate effectively and immediately any situations requiring management assistance.
- Coordinate the training of new front office personnel and assist with training of newly implemented procedures
- Coordinate, administer, and contribute input to required meetings
- Perform tasks as assigned

THE CLIFFS RESORT is seeking a Part-time Esthetician who is responsible, reliable and works well with others in a service oriented environment. This is a supplemental income.

Esthetician Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Calif. Estheticians license

Dual Massage Therapist Esthetician
We are seeking a PART-TIME MASSAGE PROVIDER/ ESTHETICIAN who is responsible and reliable with excellent guest relation skills for a service oriented environment.

Job Description:
Licensed Esthetician/Massage Provider. Handles facial and massage treatments for guests/visitors; will analyze, consult and perform facials in a professional and comfortable setting. They will be responsible for directing all efforts toward member satisfaction. Excellent guest relation skills. Previous experience required. Proven references.

Duties:
Perform esthetic and massage services to spa guests.

Requirements:
Must be a California Licensed Esthetician and Massage Practitioner; have proven experience and be flexible with work schedule.

Spa/Gift Shop Agent
A spa/gift shop agent is responsible for greeting all guests that come to the Spa and assisting them with booking spa treatments and/or answering any questions concerning the Spa environment. Is responsible for checking in appointments and selling of retail. This person should also be interested in the Spa aspects of the job. Some qualifications needed are excellent communication skills, retail experience, extremely strong telephone etiquette skills, and knowledge of computers. The Spa/Gift Shop agent should also be able to establish positive relations with all individuals who approach the reception desk, to promote Spa products and services, to handle multiple guests, booking requests, and telephone lines simultaneously while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
 
Pool and Public Attendant
We are looking for a detail-oriented person who is well organized, professional, friendly, and a team player for our Pool Attendant openings. Our pool is one of the premier assets of our hotel. It is elevated with an ocean view. The pool is heated and is next to a Jacuzzi and fire pit. There is a fountain that falls around the pool. There is pool service and activities almost everyday.

Some Duties:
• Greet and seat all guests
• Deliver a high level of service by providing towels, magazines, food and drinks, etc.
• Maintain aesthetics of the pool
• Make sure pool area is neat, clean, and alerting the maintenance department of safety hazards.
• Help assist and direct food servers o Works cooperatively with other in a team effort.
• Knows and implements standards of service for casual dining consistently.
• Knows and enforces pool rules.
• Communicates pleasantly and courteously with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Knows layout of pool, restaurant and all equipment and supplies.

This is a part time position, with mostly weekend hours. Appliers must be available to work weekends and all holidays.
 
Bell Person
Some qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, must be able to run for extended periods of time, must have multitasking strengths, professional appearance and ability to work with people a must, excellent command of English language. Must have a clean DMV record, ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and or 50 lbs frequently and/or 20 lbs of force constantly to lift, carry, push or pull objects, and must have the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

Some Duties you will be expected to do:
Loading and unloading luggage carts and vehicles as needed, opening and closing vehicle doors for arriving guests, must be able to work flexible hours and weekends based on occupancy, issuing valet parking tickets, performing any other job related task as directed by management.

Hostess

Position Summary:
As a hostess they need to communicate with guests and co-workers. Know the reservation book on a daily basis. Know what section each server is working. The hostess is the guest first impression of the restaurant.

Essential Functions of the job:
- Know which section each server is working
- Organize the Reservation book
- Know the reservations and make sure there are tables to accommodate them
- Answer the phones to take reservations as well as room service orders
- Help the servers upon their request
- Assist as needed to maintain standards of appearance, sanitation and service in all areas of the restaurant
- Comply fully and consistently with all the hotel and restaurant conditions of employment and standards of uniform, grooming and personal hygiene
- Complies promptly with the special requests of management

The Cliffs Resort is looking to hire experienced Servers for our high volume lounge and restaurant. The Restaurant and Bar Servers are responsible for seeing to every guest's experience in the Marisol Restaurant and Bar, going beyond satisfaction, and ensuring a complete fine dining experience.

• To be the person directly responsible for delivery of service to guests after seating
• To warmly welcome guests with-in 1-2 minutes after seating
• To take, place, deliver and serve food and beverage orders
