Cake Decorator/Baker
Department: Kitchen
Status: Part-time
Position Summary: Bakes, cuts, fills and ices cakes. Decorates and writes messages on cakes using pastry tools. Packages cakes for special order and back stock. Assists with other Bakery duties as necessary. Follows proper Bakery and general safety and sanitation procedures and standards. Provides prompt and courteous customer service. Will work closely with our Pastry Chef to make our daily pastries, muffins, cookies, and cakes.

Essential Functions of the job:
- Basic knowledge of baking
- Have a neat and clean uniform at all times
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proper sanitation of station and all coolers, including walk in and reach ins

Front Office Supervisor
Department: Rooms Division
Status: Exempt
Reports to: Rooms Executive

Position Summary:
The Front Office Supervisor oversees the Reception Desk, Bell services and Concierge. The Front Office Supervisor also works with the Rooms, Sales, and Food and Beverage management in coordinating daily activities, meetings, and group activities, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction through effective management and proper staffing levels.

Essential Functions of the job:
- Maintains high standards through daily assignments and assists desk agents and in doing the same.
- Represents the hotel and executive management to employees, guests, visitors, and vendors.
- Monitors proper scheduling of the reception desk and bell services and covers shifts as necessary.
- Contributes input to required meetings, including monthly departmental meeting.
- Sets standard for the staff—upholding the requirements of AAA and Mobil as well as standards communicated by executive management.
- Supervises the care of equipment, minimizing waste, breakage and misuse.
- Communicates effectively and immediately any situations which may require management assistance. This may include employee-related issues as well as guest issues.
- Coordinates VIP recognition and room assignments.

Reservations Supervisor
Department: Rooms Division

Reports to: Rooms Executive

Position Summary:
The Reservations Supervisor oversees the Reservations department within the hotel. They also work directly with the Sales department coordinating group blocks, room assignments, and billing. The position involves attendance to interdepartmental meetings to oversee communication of guest information between front desk, housekeeping, sales and food and beverage.

Essential Functions of the Job:
- Train and oversee reservation agents
- Work closely with the Guest Services Manager to ensure proper training in OPERA for front desk agents
- Coordinate with the Sales and Marketing team special promotion roll outs, as well as reporting promotion results
- Oversee hotel packages and the included elements, work with Front Office staff on preparation, verbiage and billing for each package
- Create and oversee group blocks for both weddings and business guests. Maintain constant communication with CSM, Sales Manager and Group Coordinators to ensure clients are getting up to date details on room availability, prices, deadlines, and book pace.
- Direct interaction with Bride/Groom and families throughout entire wedding process from booking to day of wedding, ensuring they have correct rates, specific room requests, and that any special requests are honored.
- Determines all Friends and Family Rate availability for employees
- Communicates with other hotels in regards to discount rate availability for employees
- Daily reports prepared for ownership and general manager on daily hotel performance
- Tracks and pays commission on reservations made by travel agents
- Efficiently and professionally interacts with guests when discussing or reserving guest rooms
- Complete knowledge of hotel property, food and beverage operations, and hotel policies, helps front desk management oversee front desk and reservation agent shifts and answers questions in the MODs absence

Maintenance Worker
Job Description:
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for making repairs on hotel and restaurant equipment as requested by the Chief Engineer.

Specific Responsibilities:
1. Electrical projects and repairs.
2. Daily cleaning of the pool and Spa and general maintenance issues.
3. Trash pick up.
4. Minor guest room repair.
5. Inspect hotel grounds daily for cleanliness issues.
6. Plumbing projects and repairs.
7. Painting as requested by Chief Engineer.
8. Carpet and vinyl repair.
9. HVAC and refrigeration repairs.
10. Service and maintain laundry and kitchen equipment.
11. Make repairs to hotel equipment as requested by Chief Engineer.
12. Basic carpentry.
13. Keep hotel guest rooms and equipment in best possible condition.
14. Performs all assigned side work duties regularly, promptly and correctly.
15. Complies fully and consistently with all the hotel conditions of employment and standards of uniform, grooming, and personal hygiene.

Room Attendant
Reports to: Room Inspector

Position Summary: Performs routine duties in the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and baths under supervision of an inspector.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Enters and prepares the room for cleaning.
- Cleans rooms in accordance to specific company minutes per room standard
- Cleans guest rooms, including guest bathrooms and kitchen area if applicable, according to company and franchise standards including, but not limited to: making beds; emptying wastebaskets; hanging shower curtains; sweeping, scrubbing, and clean floors; and dusting furniture
- Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, writing and guest directories, bathroom supplies, and linen.
- Deep cleans areas as directed by supervisor including, but not limited to: washing walls,  windows, door panels, and sills
- Uses all chemicals in an appropriate manner.
- Turns in all lost and found items as needed
- Cleans the closet.
- Vacuums the carpet.
- Checks and secures the room.
- Attends staff meetings.
- Reports any maintenance problems as they occur to the maintenance department and the department head or manager on duty.

Gift Shop Attendant
The Cliffs Resort in Shell Beach is seeking a temporary Gift Shop Attendant. He or She will oversee the general day-to-day operations of our Gift Shop. The successful candidate must be able to provide the highest level of customer service to our resort guests, group business and local clientele. This position will directly report to the Gift Shop Manager.

Job Requirements:
- Greets customers in a pleasant and courteous manner.
- Directs Spa Guests to the proper massage rooms.
- Sits, stands, stoops and walks intermittently and lifts objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Opens and closes the gift shop as needed.
- Answers telephone in a professional manner.
- Is knowledgeable of our Spa Menu and provides accurate information to patrons on our Restaurant, Hotel and Spa in a friendly and cooperative manner.
- Operates a cash register, credit card machine, the MindBody Software Program, and the Opera Property Management System.

Quality Restaurant and Bar Server

Position Summary:
The Cliffs Resort is looking to hire experienced Servers for our high volume lounge and restaurant. The Restaurant and Bar Servers are responsible for seeing to every guest’s experience in the Marisol Restaurant and Bar, going beyond satisfaction, and ensuring a complete fine dining experience.

Essential Functions of the job:
- To be the person directly responsible for delivery of service to guests after seating
- To warmly welcome guests with-in 1-2 minutes after seating
- To take, place, deliver and serve food and beverage orders
- To ensure quality of ingredients, preparation, presentation, and correct temperature of food served to guests

Pool and Public Attendant
We are looking for a detail-oriented person who is well organized, professional, friendly, and a team player for our Pool Attendant openings. Our pool is one of the premier assets of our hotel. It is elevated with an ocean view. The pool is heated and is next to a Jacuzzi and fire pit. There is a fountain that falls around the pool. There is pool service and activities almost everyday.

Some Duties:
- Greet and seat all guests
- Deliver a high level of service by providing towels, magazines, food and drinks, etc.
- Maintain aesthetics of the pool
- Make sure pool area is neat, clean, and alerting the maintenance department of safety hazards.
- Help assist and direct food servers
- Works cooperatively with other in a team effort.
- Knows and implements standards of service for casual dining consistently.
- Knows and enforces pool rules.

Restaurant Supervisor

Position Summary:
To ensure all guests absolute happiness with the restaurant, bar, in room dining, and their stay at the resort where possible.  To be sure that the servers have everything they need to do their job well, and have a work environment that everyone feels comfortable in.

Essential Functions of the job:
- Create and maintain relationships with local clientele
- Be a visible presence in the Dining Room, lounge, and hotel, and accessible for any guest at any time
- Ensure all guests absolute satisfaction with every facet of the resort that I can
- Coach staff on higher standards of service
- Test and coach staff on knowledge of menu, wine, resort, and our mission, values and basics.

Bellman/Valet
Department: Valet
Status: Part-time, 1-4 shifts a week
Duties:
- Safely park guest’s vehicles in valet lot
- Loads and unloads luggage carts and vehicles as needed.
- Escort guests to room, provide room tour and additional assistance as needed.
- Provide recommendations for local dining and activities to guests.
- Drive company vehicles throughout San Luis Obispo County, including daily airport picks ups.
- Ascertain and use guests name as frequently as possible and introduce the guest by name to front office staff.

Job Description: The Guest Service Agent is responsible for checking in and checking out of all hotel guests. This person must have good organization and communication skills as well as superior guest service abilities. This is a fast paced position that will involve cash handling, answering telephones, providing local information to guests, etc. The position we are looking for is part time or full time. Hotel or customer service experience preferred.

Job Description:
Licensed Esthetician/Massage Provider. Handles facial and massage treatments for guests/visitors; will analyze, consult and perform facials in a professional and comfortable setting. They will be responsible for directing all efforts toward member satisfaction. Excellent guest relation skills. Previous experience required. Proven references.

Duties:
Perform esthetic and massage services to spa guests.

Requirements:
Must be a California Licensed Esthetician and Massage Practitioner; have proven experience and be flexible with work schedule.
