Hearst Castle

Hearst Castle® is a "must-see" for the California Coastal visitor! Think of it as America's castle. It was originally built as the private estate of art collector and publisher William Randolph Hearst. Today it is open to the public daily for guided tours (except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Days) and is owned and operated by California State Parks. At the Visitor Center are special exhibits, food service, espresso bar, museum shop, gift shop, and the National Geographic Theater shows the giant screen 40 minute companion film to the tours "Hearst Castle- Building the Dream." The "EXPERIENCE TOUR" is recommended for first-time visitors and includes the value-added package of the guided Tour #1 with admission to the National Geographic Theater. Allow at least 3 hours time for your Hearst Castle visit.

Hearst Castle® also offers a selection of other daytime tours that explore various areas of this magnificent estate. Please visit www.hearstcastle.com/tours/index.asp for all the details. Hearst Castle® Tour Reservations are very strongly recommended and may be made by calling (800) 444-4445 or online at www.HearstCastle.com.
